March Mountain High School Community,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I am incredibly excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and opportunity with each of you. As we embark on this journey together, I want to reaffirm our collective commitment to providing students with the tools, support, and encouragement they need to thrive not just academically, but personally and professionally.
This year marks a pivotal shift in how we support student success. We are proud to introduce a new quarter system, which will allow students to accrue more credits throughout the school year. This change is rooted in our belief that all students deserve every opportunity to graduate on time or ahead of schedule without unnecessary barriers. By offering more flexible and personalized pathways, we can better meet the diverse needs of our learners.
In alignment with our mission to prepare students for life beyond high school, we are also thrilled to announce the expansion of our Career Technical Education (CTE) programs. These new CTE offerings will provide students with real-world skills, career exploration, and industry-aligned learning that can lead to certifications and job readiness right out of high school. From technology and design to health sciences and skilled trades, we are building pathways that open doors for every student.
To help lead this exciting work, please join me in welcoming Assistant Principal Carly McCarty to our team. Ms. McCarty brings passion, experience, and a strong commitment to equity and access in education. Her leadership will be instrumental in guiding the development and implementation of our new CTE offerings and ensuring that all programs reflect our values of inclusivity and student empowerment.
To our extraordinary staff: Thank you. Your dedication, creativity, and unwavering belief in our students are the heartbeat of this school. You continue to go above and beyond to ensure that every learner feels valued, supported, and inspired.
And to our students: This is your time. You have the power to shape your future, and we are here to help you every step of the way. Believe in your potential, stay curious, and take advantage of every opportunity this year brings. We are so proud of you already and can’t wait to see all that you will accomplish.
Here’s to a year of innovation, connection, and continued success. Let’s make it our best one yet.
With gratitude and optimism,
Dr. Anthony Rice
